Health & Safety

Kidco Construction Ltd. has been leading the industry with our strong emphasis on safety. The Occupation Health and Safety Act is a key component of our Safety Program, and is used hand-in-hand with our own Safety Manual. All employees are required to participate in the safety program. This begins with when they are hired and are required to read, and sign our Employee Reference Guide (this is attached inside of our Company Safety Manual). All employees also complete a written exam. The safety program is carried on, by following our guidelines set out in our manual, and safety issues are discussed during our regularly scheduled onsite tailgate meetings. Our Safety Program also handles the requirements of our sub-contractors.

Kidco Construction Ltd. currently holds a ‘Certificate of Recognition’ from the Alberta Safety Construction Association (ACSA). This certificate signifies that we meet or exceed the safety requirements necessary to enter into contracts with the City of Calgary or Government. Kidco Construction Ltd. has met these requirements since the inception of the COR program.

We also maintain a “good standing” status with the Worker’s Compensation Board. A letter from WCB to this effect was included in our tender package.

All Kidco Construction Ltd. staff and all sub-contractors are required to participate in our safety program.
